![]() Up until now everything has been working normally and I have not had trouble saving even quite complex animations before. I hope this works and the problem is not repeated. I am also being careful to copy and save files to an external disc. Right now I am working to re-create my animation and it is working OK so far. jas files as it progresses in case I need to return to earlier versions rather than work on each part in the scene all together all at one once. I am treating them individually and intended to edit them in a video program when the animations are complete and cohesive. In answer to Helmut, I am working on different animation components that take place within a singular, overall scene. I tried to restore previous files from Time Machine which usually gets me back to where I was previously but in this case nothing worked.Only fragments of my F-Curves remained the rest are gone for good it seems. Thanks for getting back to me Frank and Helmut Had you saved the WIPs to some 3rd party format you should have noticed that right away, anyway, so I guess that this is not the reason.[/QUOTE * I suspect that in your WIP you opened the last version, extended your animation and re-saved under some new name. jas documents for the progressive states of the model? * With versions, do you mean that you saved different. One of the regulars may get some idea what has happened here. Nor can I recall a C3D user reporting such an obvious disaster. * No great help, but I never encountered any such problem either. ![]() I would appreciate some advise on how to eliminate the problem and maybe even recover the lost animations. There is some urgency attached to this issue as I am going to miss a deadline if this problem can't be resolved and I may have to abandon the project entirely. I am obviously nervous about even starting the process all over again as I never realized that it was possible to lose so many saved back-up versions, it is almost as if Cheetah has decided not to recognize my animations any more. I finally had to quit the program but when I restarted it I discovered that ALL my animations in all my saved versions were corrupted, only a small part of the animation remained, the rest had completely disappeared ? The F-curves for each movement were just gone. I could not stop the play button, whatever I did it just kept running. Cheetah was working fantastically well and I had finally figured out how to make the animations really work the way I wanted them to.Īlas, I was almost finished yesterday when something odd happened. I have spent a few days putting a complicated animation together and at every stage I carefully saved individual versions in case I screwed at any point up and I needed to retrace my steps.
